the inspiration

this picture started in 2022 when we were using itjfdskaljds

english paper piecing

so i printed it out on card stock.

cut up the pieces and wrapped fabric around them. this method is called english paper piecing. I followed this tutorial by Kristin Lehrer.

the pieces got pretty tiny and crazy. A group of quilters suggested that I could try foundation paper piecing, but I was already far enough along to finish it this way.
